Mable Burton

Funeral services for Mable Marie Burton, 69, of Mountain Home will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Siegfried Johnson officiating. Mrs. Burton died Sunday, December 24, 2006, at Baxter Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until service time Thursday. Mable Marie Burton was born December 16, 1937, at Iowa City, Iowa, to Charles and Vina Sellers Papach. She married Charles Burton Jr. and was a homemaker. She lived in Mountain Home since moving from Jefferson City, Missouri, in 1992. She enjoyed trout fishing, visiting with people at the river, and playing cards and games. Mrs. Burton was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 Auxiliary. She was of Methodist faith. She is survived by one son, Brian Slater of Elkhorn, Wisconsin; three daughters, Julie Biddle and Cindy Kemp, both of Orange County, California, and Renea Marston of Jefferson City, Missouri; two step-daughters, Barbara (Robert) Redmond of Louisburg, Tennessee, and Robin (Mark) Blevins of Jefferson City, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister. Burial will be in Hawthorne Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Jefferson City, Missouri. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
