Mae Blades

A Funeral Service for Mae Ceil Elizabeth Blades of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Bill Hughes officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Mae passed away March 20, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 84. She was born November 27, 1927, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Van and Dora Smith Tripp. She married Harold Junior Blades on October 29, 1946 at Bloomfield, Missouri and was a homemaker. Mae lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1985 moving from Birch Run, Michigan. She spent 40 years teaching pre-school children and enjoyed reading, collecting books, quilting and sewing. She was also a nature lover, but her passions were her family, friends and her faith in Jesus. Mae is survived by her son, Randy (Pat) Blades of Norfork, AR; daughter, Deborah (Rick) Domerese of Mountain Home, AR; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 3 sisters. Burial will be in the Baxter Memorial Gardens, Mountain Home, Arkansas with Joshua Blades, Jared Domerese, Caleb Blades, Michael Newman, Allen Bell and Paul Hensley as pallbearers.
