Manfred Richard Staiger

Manfred Richard Staiger of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away April 7, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 80. He was born August 31, 1942, in Germany, the son of Richard and Elsa Krueger Staiger. He married Joyce Stewart on May 25, 1985, in Naperville, Illinois and was an industrial engineer. Manfred was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He lived in Mountain Home since moving from Downers Grove, Illinois in 2013. Manfred was a member of the Elks Lodge #1714 BPOE, Promise Keepers, Ironmen, and East Side Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and boating on the lake. Manfred was a bus driver for the Mountain Home School district for many years and enjoyed volunteering at Baxter Regional Medical Center.

Manfred is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughter, Kathleen (Christopher) Glas; stepson, Arnold (Susan) Germain, Jr.; stepdaughter, Cynthia Germain; sister, Monica Arnold; grandchildren, Riley & Piper Glas; step-grandchildren, Tiffany Green and Calindy Hayden; step-great-grandchildren, Tyler, Gavin, Alec, and Rachel; sister-in-law, Terri Staiger; and a host of nieces and nephews that were dear to his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Peter Staiger; stepsons, Douglas and Gary Germain; step great-grandson, Jon Chambers; and his first wife, Helga Janowicz.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Open Air Chapel at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Military Honors provided by the United States Air Force and the Alley White American Legion Post #52 Honor Guards.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
