Margaret Ann (Bretz Casebolt) Galliart, 82, died Friday, February 10, 2023, at Care Manor Nursing & Rehab. She was born July 9, 1940 in Novinger, Missouri, to Lee and Flora Bretz. The family moved to the Mountain Home area when she was 12 years old. One month before Margaret turned 16, her father, who was a mechanic at Byrd Buick, was killed when the car he was working on caught on fire and exploded. Mountain Home’s fire chief, Leonard “Red” Morris, was also killed in that fire in June of 1956.
She married Clarence Casebolt February 1, 1958. To that union was born 4 children; Sandra, Julie, David and Brian. Margaret then married Marvin Galliart on February 4, 1984 and they resided in Kansas before retiring back to Mountain Home. To that union was born one son, Joseph Andrew.
Margaret was affectionately called “Maggie” by her friends and caregivers at Care Manor. Even though her last years were challenging, it was said that she was always happy. Her inner joy came from her relationship with her God, Jehovah.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Sandra Ketterer (Rodney) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; daughter, Julie Confehr (David) of Pennsburg, Pennsylvania; son, David Casebolt (Carol) of Temple, Texas; and son, Brian Galliart of Wichita, Kansas. Each and every one of her children was her “favorite” because each one has their own gifts and talents. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin Galliart; and son, Joseph Andrew Galliart.
A memorial will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 687 Green Valley Drive in Mountain Home on February 25, 2023 at 1:30 pm. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services - Mountain Home, Arkansas. Visit an online obituary and guestbook at
