Margaret Lind

Funeral services for Margaret R. Lind of Lakeview, Arkansas will be Monday August 27, 2012, at Trimble Family Funeral Home in Moline, Illinois under the direction of Pastor Randy Willers. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. A memorial service will held at a later date at Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church in Bull Shoals, Arkansas. Margaret passed away August 20, 2012, with her family by her side. Margaret was born January 25, 1918, at Moline, Illinois to Gunnard and Ruth McMann Carlson. She married George Lind March 31st, 1938 at Moline, Illinois and that is where they shared their life and raised their daughter. Margaret was a dedicated homemaker and always happiest with her family, especially her grandchildren. She cared for her mother until she passed away and knitted baby sweaters for her granddaughters. Margaret was a hospital volunteer and an active member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Moline, Illinois before moving to Arkansas and joining Christ by the Lake Lutheran Church. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Linda Podolski (Shawn) of Lakeview, AR; two grandaughters, Julie Geyer (Greg) and Peyton Keiller; three great-grandchildren; Alex Keiller, Erin Geyer and Trae Geyer; and sister-in-law, Faye Wallace all of Moline, IL, as well as several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or the Bull Shoals Food Pantry. Arrangements locally by Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services.
