Margaret Lorraine Nelson

Margaret Lorraine Nelson of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away July 10, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 93. She was born February 15, 1928, in Woodstock, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Margaret Ritzert. She married Glenn Nelson on May 6, 1953, in Woodstock, Illinois. Margaret loved to embroider, fish, bird watch, argue with the squirrels, and watch wildlife. She always wanted a yellow sports car to squeal tires in. Her and her husband spent their years together as dairy farmers, and she spent most of her time tending to the animals, which she greatly enjoyed..

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Juanitta Fredrick of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Barbara Nelson of Salesville, Arkansas, Beverly (Rudy) Rivera of Pharr, Texas, and Bernice Nelson of Silver City, New Mexico; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and twelve great, great-granchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; brothers, William Ritzert, Howard Ritzert, John Ritzert, Ronald Ritzert; sisters, Dorothy Casey, Lauretta Klewin, and Bernice Pierce; and son-in-law, Dallas Fredrick; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, July 16, 2021, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am with Pastor Sherman Gordius officiating. Due to current restrictions, masks are required.
