Marguerite Halsell

Marguerite Elizabeth Halsell was born August 31, 1919 in Cotter, Arkansas. She was the daughter of James and Iva Jewell Wardlow Barnett. She married Earl Halsell on June 24, 1961 in Tulare, California. She was employed as a nurse aid and hospital ward clerk and she was a member of Gassville First Baptist Church. Marguerite Elizabeth Halsell entered into eternal rest on December 15, 2005 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 12 days. Survivors: She is survived by:one daughter, Barbara Skiver and husband Gary of Cotter, Arkansas; three sons,Joe McFarland and wife Nicki of Gainesville, Missouri, Jerry McFarland and wife Kathy of Ozark, Missouri, and Jack McFarland and wife, Edna of Gore, Oklahoma; twenty-six grandchildren; many great and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Juanita Sandlin of Shirley, Arkansas; one step-brother, Rex Bayless and wife, Lois, of Cotter, Arkansas; and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: Her parents; first husband, Fred McFarland; second husband, Earl Halsell; two sons, Bob McFarland and Bill Pitchford; brother, Glen Barnett; and sister, Louise Scott Visitation: Saturday, December 17, 2005 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral: Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 18, 2005 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gary Wise and Brother Ronnie Thomas officiating.
