Maria Nikic

Gisela died February 13, 2009 at Twin Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 83 years old. Gisela was born March 3, 1925 at Kassel, Germany to Karoline and Walter Koch. She married Radomir Nikic at Kassel, Germany on September 21, 1949. Gisela immigrated to the United States against family objections from Germany and became a United States citizen. She raised two daughters on her own and worked at Fannie May Candy Co. for twenty five years. Gisela loved flowers and gardening. Survivors: Gisela is survived by her two daughters Vera(Ray) Widmer and Nada Nikic of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, five grand children and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived in Germany by two brothers, two sisters and many nieces and nephews. Visitation: Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service on Friday February 20, 2009 at Kirby and Family Funeral Home in Bull Shoals. Funeral: A funeral service for Maria Gisela Nikic of Bull Shoals will be at 1PM Friday February 20, 2009 at Kirby and Family Funeral Home with Reverend Nicholas Lascaro officiating. Burial: Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bull Shoals, Arkansas Memorials: A memorial fund has been set up at Arvest Bank for her daughter, Nada Nikic. Active Bearers: Bill Fuenty, Willie Fuenty Jr., Eric Fuenty, Dane Rankin, Jake Rankin and Andy Widmer as pallbearers.
