Marian Bailey

Marian Bailey died Thursday, November 6, 2008 in Mountain Home at the age of 92. She was born Wednesday, December 8, 1915 in Tarentum, Pennsylvania, the daughter of William G. and Daisie Luella Artman Crawford. She married John Martin on March 31, 1934 at Wyandotte, MI. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1975. Marian lived in Mountain Home since 1968 moving from St. Louis, Missouri, where she worked as an insurance secretary. She married Emery Bailey on July 25, 1980 at Mountain Home, AR. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 277, Bull Shoals VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors: Marian Bailey is survived by her 2 daughters, Judy (Bill) Staib of Mountain Home, AR and Linda (Bob) Dey of Littleton, CO, 4 grandchildren, Donald and David Swanson, Carrie and Jess Wilton and 5 great-grandchildren. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st. husband, John Martin, 2nd. husband, Emery Bailey, 4 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation: Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Funeral: Funeral services for Marian Martin Bailey of Mountain Home, AR, will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Sam Bailey officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Mountain Home Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks.
