Marie Alice Hazard was born July 5, 1903 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Kubick. She was a graduate of the Art Institure of Chicago and the Chicago School of Fine Arts. She was a dress designer for Blum's Vogue of Chicago, and life member of Chicago Outdoor Art League. She moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas from Chicago, Illinois over fifty years ago. She was a renowned dress designer and interior decorator, and will be remembered for making draperies for many local businesses. She was recognized and admired for her spirit and many talents. Mrs. Hazard was also active in many cultural and civic clubs in Mountain Home and a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Marie Alice Hazard passed away at Auburn Hills Health and Rehab Center on August 31, 2005 at the age of 102 years, 1 month and 26 days. Marie's family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff of Auburn Hills Health and Rehab for many years of loving care extended to "their" Marie.
