Services for Marie Hopper will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 20 at Kirby-Boaz. Marie Hopper passed on Saturday, December 16, 2006, at her home. She was 88. She was born September 13, 1918, in Kentucky to James and Laura Kirk. She was a wife, mother and retired from Northrop Grumman in California. She married Eugene Hopper on June 21, 1941, at Palmyre, Missouri. They moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas, on March 6, 2004, from Hemet, California. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Lodge #3246, Mountain Home, Arkansas, and a member of the Eagles Club in Midway, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene in 2004. She is survived by one son, Jack Miller (Janola) of Mountain Home; two daughters, Louise A. Scott (Phillip) of Mountain Home and Carole Jean Filip (James) of Torrance, California; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
