Memorial services for Marie Jones of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 1:00 PM Friday, February 25, 2011 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bill Hughes officiating.
Marie died Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Mountain Home at the age of 94. She was born April 1, 1916 in Rhone County, West Virginia, the daughter of Omar and Maggie Doolittle Jones. She married Elmer Jones on September 11, 1943 at Chicago, Illinois and worked 23 years as a Quality Controller for Formold Plastics. Marie lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1982 moving from Posen, Illinois. She attended the Mountain Home Baptist Church. Marie enjoyed bowling, bridge, double deck pinochle reading, crossword puzzles, and baking.
Marie is survived by her son, Ken Jones of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Jo Ann Reid of Mountain Home, AR; 2 sisters, Gail Crabtree of Tinley Park, IL and Juanita Stockus of Laguna Hills, CA; 3 grandsons, Craig D. (Laurie) Wilkey Sr., Robert A. (Sue) Jones and Kenneth A. (Nicole) Jones Jr.; 2 granddaughters, Catherine M. Wilkey and Elizabeth (Timothy) Morse, 7 great-grandchildren, and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House or charity of choice.
Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
