Funeral services for Marie Helen Miles of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, will be Monday, June 18th, 2018 at Oakridge Cemetery in Sandwich, IL.
Marie passed away June 2, 2018, in Bull Shoals, Arkansas at the age of 96. She was born October 17, 1921, in Victor Township, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Alice (Schnitz) Grandgeorge. Marie worked hard to become the first woman supervisor at Western Electric Co. in Montgomery, IL and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
Marie enjoyed bowling and swimming, and loved to volunteer and especially to travel the world. She was proud to say she'd been in 51 countries. She moved to Mountain Home in 2005 to be near her family. She spent her last years at Carefree Living in Bull Shoals.
Marie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Cindy Hegerman of Flippin, AR; grandchildren, Brad Hegerman of Bentonville, AR, and Cara Hegerman of Broxbourne, England; great-grand son, Cooper Cahill of Broxbourne, England, as well as many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Miles in 1979.
Memorials may be made to the North Arkansas Humane Society or Hospice of the Ozarks.
