Marilyn V. Beaman of Lakeview, Arkansas, peacefully passed away May 27, 2024, in Lakeview, Arkansas at the age of 91. She was born August 10, 1932, in Topeka, Kansas, the only daughter of Clarence "Pete" and Virginia Mitchell Kelling. She married her best friend and confidant, Warren Beaman on May 4, 1951, in Biloxi, Mississippi. Marilyn lived in Lakeview since moving from Topeka, Kansas, on March 20, 1960. Warren and Marilyn owned Cedar Oaks Resort for 11 years where they worked and raised their two daughters! Marilyn spent countless hours working the resort, making sure their guests would return year after year with their families. In 1968, Warren started Beaman Realty, which he and Marilyn operated until 1981, when her daughter, Susan, and son-in-law, Tony, purchased the business. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mountain Home. Marilyn enjoyed so many things in her lifetime. She adored her family the most, spending an abundance of her time traveling to almost every European country with her two daughters. Marilyn also loved reading, playing card games with the grandkids, doing puzzles, boating, swimming, and never turned down a piece of chocolate...especially turtles! Her love for pandas was infinite, and what she was most known for in the family. You would often find her relaxing in the sunroom while watching her pet deer and birds...surrounded by all her pandas. She was the best, lived the most incredible life, and conquered every adventure she ever desired. She rests now, peacefully and eternally with her best friend, Warren, by her side.
Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Linda (Gary) Pitts of Mountain Home, AR, and Susan (Tony) Taylor of Lakeview, AR; grandchildren, Nick Pitts, Ryan (Jessica) Pitts, Blair (Shawna) Taylor, Lance (Christie) Taylor, and Drew (Bryn) Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Annaston, Lydia, Karlee, Grace, Channing, Kennady, Presley, Brighton, and Brecken.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, and in-laws, Art and Erma Beaman.
