Marilyn Helen Jorgensen

A Funeral Service for Marilyn Helen Jorgensen of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Elder Remil Layton officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of the service.

Marilyn passed away August 31, 2016, in Gassville, Arkansas at the age of 76. She was born October 21, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Michael and Gertrude Szabo Mushong. She married Harold Jorgensen on June 20, 1959, at Itasca, Illinois and retired from Baxter County Hospital (BRMC) where she worked for 17 years in the business office. Marilyn lived in Mountain Home since 1983, moving from Streamwood, Illinois. She was a member of the Free Verse Poetry Group of Mountain Home and enjoyed crocheting and gardening.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Harold Jorgensen of Mountain Home, AR; son, Richard T. Jorgensen of Mountain Home, AR; son, David M. (Mary) Jorgensen of West Chicago, IL; daughter, Deborah Johnson of Mountain Home, AR and son, Robert H. Jorgensen of Jefferson City, MO; grandchildren, Christi Melton of Mountain Home, AR, Jana Jorgensen of Westmont, IL and Seth Jorgensen of San Francisco, CO; great-grandchildren, Callista, Janessa and Ceanna Melton and Novelle Pyfer of Mountain Home, AR; two brothers, Thomas (Judy) Mushong of Elgin, IL and Michael (Carol) Mushong of Grand Rapids, MI and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Trude A. Schiptz.
