Marilyn Joan Schaub, 83, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, in Gassville, Arkansas. Marilyn was born on March 7, 1939, in Waterloo, Indiana, to Virgil and Pauline Warstler Smith. She married John Schaub on November 20, 1970 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was a systems analyst for the United States Navy. After 35 years, she retired and moved to Arkansas in 2006. Marilyn was best known for her love of family and friends, her interest in travel, especially to the ocean. She was an avid quilter and member of the Hill Nā Hollow quilt guild. She was a member of the Mountain Home Bible Church.
Marilyn is survived by her husband, John Schaub of Gassville, AR; three sons, David (Jeannine) Mann of Rifle, CO, Douglas (Cathy) Mann of Charleston, SC, and Ernest Schaub of Santee, CA; six grandchildren, Michelle Mann, Leah (Donnie) Hathaway, Tiffany Mann, Quinn Mann, Adam Mann (Abby), and Caleb Mann; and four great-grandchildren, Astrid, Austin, Diem and Reese.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ronnie Smith and Mel Smith; and two sisters, Joyce Smith and Linda Haines Smith.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Mountain Home Bible Church, with Pastor Mike Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
