Marilyn Knight Harris Schoonover

A Funeral Service for Marilyn Knight Harris Schoonover of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Monday, December 29, 2014, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Kevin Moore officiating. Visitation will be Monday, December 29, 2014, from 12:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
Marilyn passed away December 18, 2014, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 78. She was born February 28, 1936, in Gassville, Arkansas, the daughter of Arthur and Nola Mitchell Knight. She married Lynn Harris and worked with him at Harris Aerial Surveys, Inc. In her 2nd marriage to William "Bill" Schoonover, she enjoyed their 14+ years until his passing. She had studied at UCA in Conway, AR and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mountain Home, Arkansas. She enjoyed painting, sewing, interior decorating, antiquing, various crafts, and she was skilled with many hand tools.
Marilyn is survived by her two sons, Gary Harris of Mountain Home, AR and Dan (Becky) Harris of Cleveland, TN; four grandchildren, Kelli (Kregg) Hamilton of St. Louis, MO, Adam, Matthew and Carter Harris, all of Cleveland, TN; two great-grandchildren, Jess and Elle Hamilton of St. Louis, MO and sister, Shirley Mershon of Gassville, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; daughter, Tonya Townsend; sister, Patsy Breeding and brother, Edward Knight.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Adam Harris, Matthew Harris, Kregg Hamilton, Louis Mershon, Phil Honey, and John Schuhknecht as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to Paragould Children's Homes or Children's Homes, Inc.
