Marilyn L Sherwood

Marilyn L Sherwood of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away May 9, 2022, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 86. She was born December 4, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Jens and Caroline Gregory Carlsen. She married James on November 23, 1972, in Chicago, Illinois and was a printing estimator for Royal Envelope Corporation. Marilyn lived in Mountain Home since moving from Franklin Park, Illinois, in 2002. She was a member of the Purple Roses Red Hat group, Tops, the NorthEast Lakeside Fire Department Auxiliary, Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Elk's Lodge #1714 BPOE, the Lady Elks Auxiliary, the Elkettes, and was most proud of being named Elk Lady of the year for 2009-2010. She volunteered for Kindness, Inc. and the Peitz Cancer Support House.

Marilyn is survived by her two sons, Ronald Ronstadt of Mountain Home, AR, and Darryl (Linda) Dombrowski of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Denise (Mike) Fazio of Rosemont, IL; brother, Gerald Carlsen of Daytona Beach, FL; three grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be Friday, May 13, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. A Funeral Service for Marilyn will be 10:00 am, Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, with Pastor Sherman Gordius officiating. Burial will be 10:00 am, Monday, May 16, 2022, in the Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, Illinois.

Memorials may be made to the Elk's Lodge #1714 BPOE.
