A Funeral Service for Marion Elizabeth Booth of Gassville, Arkansas, will be 3:00 pm, Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Rodney Steele officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 1:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home.
Marion passed away September 14, 2014, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 84. She was born October 22, 1929, in Estherville, Iowa, the daughter of Riley and Bessie Craven Elwood. She graduated from Estherville High School and married Kenneth Booth on June 12, 1949, at Slayton, Minnesota. She worked as a kitchen helper and cook for West Harrison School District. Marion lived in Gassville since 1988, moving from Pisgah, Iowa. She was a member of the Help One Another Club. She enjoyed roller skating, card playing and dancing.
Marion is survived by her husband of 65 years, Kenneth F. Booth of Gassville, AR; daughter, Marcia K. Booth of Council Bluffs, IA; grandson, Kenneth (Kammy) Booth of Council Bluffs, IA; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Wardlow and Marie Booth and two brothers, Harold and Kenneth Elwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Stephen Booth and six siblings.
Burial will be in the Soldier Valley Cemetery, Pisgah, Iowa.
Memorials may be made to Hiram Shaddox Geratric Center.
