Marion Meyers

Marion Meyers died Monday, November 17, 2008 in Mountain Home at the age of 84. She was born Tuesday, November 27, 1923 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Paul Shelton and Frances Wyman Rivett. She married William Meyers on October 14, 1951 at Paunee City, Nebraska and worked as a Therapeutic Dietician for St. Michael Hospital. She earned a Bachlor's Degree in Diatary and Home Economics from the University of Nebraska and interned there also. Marion lived in Mountain Home since 1990 moving from Mequon, Wisconsin. She was a member of the P.E.O. Survivors: Marion Meyers is survived by her husband, William Meyers, 2 daughters, Judith Pero of Las Vegas, NV and Janet (Edward) Vander Schalie of Virginia Beach, VA, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M., Saturday, November 22 at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Funeral: Funeral services for Marion R. Meyers of Mountain Home, AR, will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 23, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Fred Taylor, officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital or Hospice of the Ozarks. Active Bearers: Ray Coahran, Art Stone, John Kennedy, Don Crapnell, Eugene Hough, Jim Lillis, Fred Reed and Gale Newman as pallbearers.
