Marlene Wanda Stinson

Marlene Wanda Stinson of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away January 10, 2022, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 88. She was born August 20, 1933, in Middleton, Tennessee, the daughter of Horry and Annie Brown Russell. She married Rowland Stinson on December 17, 1949, in Myrtle, Mississippi. Marlene lived in Mountain Home since moving from Illinois in 1989. She was a member of the Highway 5 South Church of Christ. In her younger years, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and ceramics.

Marlene is survived by her son, Calvin Stinson of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Marilyn (Dennis) Williams of Bowling Green, KY; brother, Harold Russell; sister, Janice Cobb; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two sons, Stanley and Corey Stinson.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 1:00 pm until service time, at Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services. A Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Joe Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Due to current restrictions, masks are required.
