Funeral Services for Marvin Lee Norman, 78, of Gassville, Arkansas, will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Brothers Mark Ragsdale and Bobby Copeland officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Marvin died Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. Marvin was born January 20, 1933 in Dodd City, AR, the son of Marion Francis and Nancy Clark Norman. He married Barbara McFarran on July 12, 1954 at Trona, CA. In 1970 he moved back to Bruno, Arkansas was a self-employed Sawmiller. Marvin was a U.S. Army veteran. Marvin lived in Gassville since 1986 moving from Bruno, Arkansas. He was a member of White River Full Gospel Church. He loved gardening, hunting, and fishing. Marvin is survived by his wife: 3 daughters, Bonnie Norman of Gassville, Debra Norman of Mountain Home and Betty Bullock of Gassville, AR; 2 grandsons, Dwayne (Emily) Munden, Jacky (Carrie) Farris and 1 granddaughter, Nikki (Ronald) Snavley and 1 grandson-in-law, Raleigh Rencher all of Gassville; 13 Great-Grandchildren; 1 brother, Gary (Cecille) Norman of Springfield, MO and 1 sister; Helen Reynolds of TX. He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Shanna Rencher; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery with Dwayne Munden, Raleigh Rencher, Ron Snavley, Roger Haley, Wade Still and Shawn Lance as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Martin, Dean Martin, Elward Still, David Watts and Dwight Shipman. Memorials may be made to the White River Full Gospel Church.
