Mary Ann Griffith

A Celebration of Life for Mary Ann Griffith, of Flippin, Arkansas, will be 2 PM, Friday, March 10th, 2017, at Antioch Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Hutcherson officiating. Burial will be immediately following in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mary Ann went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, March 2, 2017, in Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 74. She was born September 26,1942, in Flippin, Arkansas; the daughter of Frank and Rosalie (Reed) Mendenhall. She married Harold Griffith on December 19, 1959, and they were married for 54 years before Harold's death, in 2014. Mary Ann received her degree in Accounting and worked in billing at Humana Health Services. She and Harold came home to Flippin after retirement and were members of the Antioch Baptist Church. Mary Ann was a beloved daughter, loving wife and devoted mother. She spent much of her life caring for her son, Steven, and will be remembered as being the "salt of the earth".

Mary Ann is survived by her son, Steven Griffith of Flippin, AR; and daughters, Suzanne Moore, Sandra Martinez, and Sherri (Craig) Benton of Kansas City, MO; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Stovall of AR; sister-in-law, Kay Longpre of TX; brothers-in-law, Bob (Nadine) Griffith of MO and Richard (Nancy) Griffith of NY; cousins and dear friends, Walter "Jr." and Billie Reed of Flippin, AR; and Jim (Joan) Flippin of KS; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and great granddaughter Bailey Marie.

Memorials may be made to the Antioch Baptist Church.
