Mrs. Mary Bedford, age 83 of Mountain Home, AR, departed this life November 22, 2010, at her home. Mary was born February 11, 1927 in Newport, Kentucky, the daughter of Michael and Paulina (Bednash) Zurick. Mary was united in marriage to James L. Bedford in Munster, IN. on November 12, 1954.
Mrs. Bedford is survived by her husband, James Bedford, of the home, daughter Nancy Osmon (David) of Mountain Home, daughter Carol Bedford of Mountain Home, a grandson, Michael (Bonnie) Bedford of Bentonville, AR,, granddaughter, Rachael (Greg) Schwent of Fredrickstown, MO., step-grandson, Scott (Dwanna) Osmon of Mountain Home, step-grandson, Steve (Chris) Osmon of Chesterfield, MO., five step-great grandchildren, Alex, Hannah, Dylan, Grant and Tatum Osmon, sister-in-law, Dorothy Cranfill of Virginia Beach, VA., sister-in-law Esther Zurick of Las Vegas, NV., and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Harry Zurick, three sisters, Helen Stefanich, Sophie Bednash and Paulina Zurick, one niece, Gloria Lyons and one nephew, Michael Zurick.
Mary worked for General America Transportation in East Chicago, IN.,as a office administrator till her first year of marriage. Mary was a homemaker, who always had a sweet smile, fun sense of humor and a kind word for everyone she met. Mary enjoyed square dancing with her husband and playing any kind of card games. Some of her biggest joys came from playing golf. When health issues ended her time on the course, she could be found watching golf and tennis tournaments on the television.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
