Mary Birdsong

Mary Jo Birdsong of Oakland, MS, age 83, died at her son's home in Bull Shoals, AR on September 16, 2008. She was born June 16, 1925 in Hopeville, AL. She was a homemaker, an accounts payable clerk and a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors: She is survived by her son, Marvin Birdsong of Bull Shoals, AR; two daughters-in-law, Marsha and Vickie Birdsong; four grandchildren, Richard, Jason, Jennifer, and Stacie; and 7 great grandchildren. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, George Birdsong in 1985 and two sons, Johnny Ray Birdsong at 41 years of age from Leukemia in 1988 and George Claude "Rick" Birdsong at 60 years of age from a heart attack in 2005. Visitation: The visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008 from 9 to 10 am at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral: The Graveside service will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, MS following the visitation period. Burial: Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Water Valley, MS.
