Mary E. Cooper was born December 19, 1925 in Brookland, and lived much of her life in Jonesboro , Arkansas before moving to Mountain Home, Arkansas six years ago. She worked several years in the family business of Cooper Lime in Jonesboro, and also worked for General Electric in Jonesboro before retirement. Mary Ellen Cooper passed away on September 10, 2005, at Pine Lane Nursing Home in Mountain Home, where she resided for two days. She lived 79 years, 8 months and 21 days. Survivors: Three sons, Daniel Cooper and Terry Cooper, both of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Tim Cooper of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one daughter, Karen Benham of Mountain Home, Arkansas; two brothers, Billy Sharp of Greenfield and Harry Sharp of Arab, Alabama; three sisters, Marie Roedel of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Kathryn Wicker of Wink, Texas, and Betsy Henderson of Brownwood, Texas and eight grandchildren Preceded in Death by: Her parents, William Henry Sharp and Birdie Reed Sharp; two brothers and three sisters Visitation: Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro Funeral: Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro with Reverend Kenny Johnson officiating Burial: Macedonia Cemetery Memorials: Macedonia Cemetery Association
