Mary S. DeVore

A Funeral Service for Mary Sue "Mam" DeVore of Gassville, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 9, 2016, at River of Life Assembly of God Church, with Reverend James Cox officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, January 9, 2016, from 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral, at the church.

Mary passed away January 4, 2016, in Gassville, Arkansas at the age of 87. She was born August 14, 1928, in Cotter, Arkansas, the daughter of James Franklin and Cora Belle Chandler Toliver. She married William Presley DeVore Sr. on June 19, 1943, at Cotter, Arkansas, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the River of Life Assembly of God Church. She was a godly woman who loved her family very much. She was a true matriarch.

Mary is survived by her four children, William (Glenda) DeVore Jr., Daniel (Carolyn) DeVore, David (Geneva) DeVore and Betsy (Marvin) Kellem all of Gassville, AR; nine grandchildren, Rick (Chris) Kellem, Mary Lynn White, Jackie (Jamie) Baker, Tina Ciesielski, Susan (Lyle) King, Daniel Lee (Lisa) DeVore II, David Wayne DeVore Jr., Dennis (Gwynn) DeVore and Debbie (Joe) DeAtley; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband; great-granddaughter, Becky Berry; three sisters and one brother.

Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery, Cotter, Arkansas, with Dennis DeVore, Daniel DeVore II, Rick Kellem, Josh Reding, Nathaniel Prewitt and David DeVore Jr. as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jolene Waddell, Roger Pierce and Zona Pierce.
