Mary Deborah Leathers was born November 2, 1951 at Jonesboro to Charles and Mary Michels Felkins. She married Thomas Leathers on April 8, 1989 at Jonesboro. They moved to Mountain Home in 1995 where she owned and operated Deborah’s Pet Salon where she loved to work with animals. She was a member of the East Side Baptist Church in Mountain Home. She passed away at her residence on April 9, 2004 at the age of 52 years, 5 months and 7 days. Survivors: Her husband Tom of Mountain Home, one son; Shannon Thompson (wife Lisa) of Mountain Home, one Daughter; Christy Saunders (husband Todd) of Hermitage, Arkansas, Her mother Mary Taylor (husband Lindel) of Jonesboro, four grandchildren; Katrina and Ira Saunders and Kimberly and Joshua Jordan. Two brothers; Mitchell Wright (wife Diana) of Jonesboro and Ronald Felkins (wife D’Rena) of Splendora, Texas and two sisters; Sandra Futrell (husband Benny) of Brookland, Arkansas and Lisa Leatherwood (husband Jim Bob) of Orlando, Florida. Preceded in Death by: Her father Charles Felkins. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday at the Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel in Mountain Home Funeral: Graveside Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at the Philadelphia Cemetery in Jonesboro with Reverend Jerry Jolly officiating. Burial: Philadelphia Cemetery in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Memorials: Hospice of the Ozarks.
