Mary McVea

Mary Jane McVea was born March 15, 1918 at Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin to Grover C. and Charlotte Leonard Mason. She married Charles E McVea on January 11, 1941 at Oak Park, Illinois. Mary Jane McVea was a retired registered nurse and spent many years in the Waukegan, Illinois area before moving to Mountain Home in 1975. She was a graduate of the Illinois Masonic Hospital Association School of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois, was active in the Twin Lakes Playhouse, member of the Baxter Regional Medical Center Hospital Advisory Board, a past member of the Twin Lakes Literacy Council Board, Baxter County Library Board, and loved to play bridge and golf at the Twin Lakes Golf Course. She was also an award winning quilter. Survivors: Two Sons - Charles E. McVea, Jr. and wife Christina of Ingleside, Illinois and John Kevin McVea and wife Donna of Bellingham, Washington; one nephew, Richard Nelson of Ft. Meyers, Fla. Preceded in Death by: Parents, Husband, Charles E. McVea and sister, Gertrude Nelson Funeral: A Celebration of Life for Mary Jane McVea of Mountain Home will be from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at the Twin Lakes Playhouse, 600 West Sixth Street, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Burial: Private Memorials: Twin Lakes Playhouse or Baxter County Library Foundation
