Mary Ruth Motsinger

Funeral Services for Mary Ruth Motsinger, 76, of Bull Shoals, Arkansas will be Wednesday 11AM August 13, 2014 at Eastside Baptist Church in Mountain Home, AR with the Reverend Chris Butler officiating. Family will receive friends from 10AM until time of service at the church. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Mary Ruth died August 9, 2014 at Twin Lakes Nursing Center.

Mary Ruth was born December 14, 1937 in Sedalia, MO to Paul and Sarah Rymer Erickson. She was raised in Kansas City, MO and that is where she married her high school sweetheart, Jay Motsinger. Mary Ruth raised her children and then decided to go back to school to become a Hair Stylist. She and Jay retired to Bull Shoals and enjoyed walking, attending yoga class, and volunteering at Baxter Regional Medical Center. Mary Ruth was dedicated to helping others by being active in the Alzheimer’s Support Group.

Mary is survived by her husband Jay Motsinger of Bull Shoals, AR; four daughters, twins, Marcia Motsinger of Kansas City, MO and Michelle Friedman (John) of Hudson, NY, Melissa Motsinger of Jefferson City, MO and Mary Motsinger of Columbia, MO; four grandchildren, Sydney, Marissa, William and Halley; and one brother, Carl Erickson (Karen) of Clinton, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
