Mary Lou Ross, 91, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023, in Mountain Home, AR. Mary Lou was born on October 23, 1931, in Scammon, Kansas, to James and Helen Hisel Allen. She married James Alfred Ross on December 15, 1951 in Scammon, Kansas. Mary Lou enjoyed crafts and cooking. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cotter since December of 1960, and was active in the WMU.
Mary Lou is survived by her three sons, Jeff Ross of Flippin, AR, Richard (Carol) Ross of Flippin, AR, and Joe (Joy) Ross of Cotter, AR; brother, Tom (Mary) Allen; two sisters, Susie (Bennie) Thornton and Alberta Flowers; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by parents; husband; daughter-in-law, Paula Ross, and six siblings.
Visitation will be Monday, July 31, 2023, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, at First Baptist Church of Cotter. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023, at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Cotter, with Reverend Cameron Ross officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, in Cotter, Arkansas, with Reverend Stace Cupples officiating, and Jeff Ross, Richard Ross, Joe Ross, David Ross, Andy Ross, and Jonathan Ross as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Moore, Matthew Moore, Chad Smith, James Cobb, and Nathan Rogers.
Memorial donations may be made in Mary Lou's name to First Baptist Church of Cotter.
