Mary L. Shields

Mary Louise Shields, 96, of Gainesville, Missouri, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Born October 30, 1927, in Highland Park, Michigan, she was the daughter of Gerald and Louise Huffaker Dalrymple. Mary married Ronald Shields on August 19, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois. Together, they successfully owned and operated a real estate company, Shields Realty, for many years on the square in Gainesville, Missouri. They then started their own real estate franchise company Country Network. She was a member of The First Christian Church in Gainesville. She enjoyed being a charter member of the Apple Blossom Decorative Painters Club since it's inception in 2002. She loved to paint, and had such good times with her friends there.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lloyd and husband Larry of Webb City, Missouri, Granddaughter Rachel, grand son Adam, great- granddaughter Marina, and 2 great- great granddaughters Emberlyn and Vanessa. She will be remembered by her 4 loving nieces and 3 nephews, and many special friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Louise Dalrymple; her husband, Ronald Shields; her 2 siblings; Gerald Dalrymple and Ann Knaak, her son, John Peplow; and her step-daughter, Linda Farrington. She was extremely generous and wise, courageous and strong, and loved her family dearly. She will be greatly missed by her family, and friends.
