Mary Stratton

Services for Mary Oleta Stratton of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, will be at a later date. She died Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 87. Mary was born July 27, 1923 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of John and Ethyl Hamilton. She married Merlin Stratton on May 26, 1942 at Manhattan, Kansas. She was a homemaker. Mary lived in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas since 1983. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. She enjoyed fishing and golfing. Mary is survived by her husband, Reverend Merlin Stratton; son, David (Robin) Stratton of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Cheryl Stratton of Edmond, OK; 4 Grandchildren - Bria, Jacob, Alexis, and Jennifer; and 2 great-grandchildren - Nathan, and Catlyn. She was preceded in death by her parents. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
