Services for Mary L. Wilburn, 68 of Mountain Home, will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 7, 2010 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jimmie Whitfield officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the funeral home.
Mary died Monday, May 3, 2010 at Mountain Home. She was born January 9, 1942 in Doddsville, MS, the daughter of Elzie and Lucille Peeples. She worked as a hotel manager and lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1999. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing and playing cards and games.
Surviving are her sons, Johnny Prewitt of Mountain Home, AR, Marion Wilburn and Doyle James Wilburn both of West Helena, AR; brothers, Leroy Peeples of West Helena, AR and Louis Peeples of Mountain Home, AR; sisters, Evelyn Hicks of Mountain Home, AR, Margaret Smith of Mountain Home, AR and Vivian Davenport of West Helena, AR, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 1 great-grandchild.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery with Billy Davenport, Randy Davenport, Tommy Smith, Robert Smith, Jeffery Peeples, Chad Peeples, Jason Hicks, Johnny Prewitt, Jr. as pallbearers. Lewis Peeples, Mike Fogelman and Jamey Hicks will be honorary pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to the Sparks Gamma House in Mountain Home of Mountain Home.
