Mauvilene J Osborn

A Funeral Service for Mauvilene J Osborn of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. David Johnson and Dr. Tad Rogers officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 13, 2016, 10:00 am until service time at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.

She married Vernon Leon Osborn September 11, 1947. They had 27 beautiful years together until the Lord carried him home September 24, 1974.
She was born January 3, 1929 to the late Claude and Lee (McLeod) Johnson at Emery, Arkansas. She was a 1946 graduate at Cave City High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mountain Home and worked for Becker Building Company for 35 plus years. Mauvilene was a Past President of the Mountain Home Coterie Club and charter member of Mountain Home Baptist Church where she served as church treasurer for 17 years. She loved her family, grand-children and great grand-children. Mauvilene loved to do crafts, work in her yard and flowers.
Mauvilene is survived by one son, Gary Leon (Teresa) Osborn of Houston, TX; one grand son, Christopher Leon (Loril) Osborn of Mountain Home, AR; one grand daughter, Leslie Jean (David) Hagler of Wynne, AR; three great grandsons, Keith Allen Hagler, Tennyson Wade Hagler, and Christian Wade Osborn all of Wynne, AR; one great-grandson, Christopher Kaleb Leon Osborn of Mountain Home, AR; two brothers, Paul Wayne (Liz) Johnson, and Carl Walter (Cathey) Johnson, both of Cave City, AR; several nieces and nephews, one sister-in-law, Imogene Shaw of Gassville, AR, cousins, Warren Haley and Berniece McLeod and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Carl Wade Osborn, her parents, one sister, Wanda Jean Garrison, one brother, Billy Joe Johnson and one cousin, Joan Carder.
Honorary pallbearers will be The Ruth Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church senior adult ministry or a charity of one's choice.
She will be laid to rest next to her husband and son Carl Wade Osborn in Mountain Home Cemetery.
