Max died Friday, August 26, 2011, at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 81. He was born July 30, 1930, in Chicago, IL, the son of Max J. and Katherin Weber Wiesend. He married Florence Scanlan on October 30, 1951, at Chicago, Illinois. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Max lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas for 22 years, moving from Burlington, Wisconsin.
Max is survived by his wife, Florence Wiesend, 2 sons; Kurt (Carla) Wiesend, of Rockford, IL, Kris M. Wiesend, of Mukwonago, WI, daughter, Karen M. Zander, of Rockford, IL and his grandchildren; Holland, Devon, Ian, Michelle and Paige.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and step-father, Eino W. Wirtanen.
Memorials may be made to the American Legion Shoe Fund.
