A Funeral Service for Maynard "Ted" Perry Brantingham of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 3:00 pm, Friday, July 25, 2014, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Thomas J. Cunningham and Pastor James Brantingham officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, July 24, 2014, 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Ted passed away July 20, 2014, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 87. He was born September 27, 1926, in Selkirk, Michigan, the son of Martin and Lydia Sherman Brantingham. He married Anne Wilcox on June 30, 2001, in Noble, MO. Ted was a U.S. Army veteran. He lived in Mountain Home since 1972, moving from Winona, OH. He enjoyed golf, tennis, gardening and being outdoors. He was most passionate about spending quality time with family.
Ted's life included a variety of business endeavors and projects. Among them was landscape architecture and design which brought him the greatest fulfillment.
Ted is survived by his wife, Anne Brantingham of Mountain Home, AR, son, Dan (Karen) Brantingham of MO, two daughters, Betsy (Steve) Johnson of Mountain Home, AR, and Cindy (Marc) Dunn of Phoenix, AZ, step-son, Chuck Wilcox of Mountain Home, AR, step-daughter, April (David) Starkey of Mountain Home, AR, 18 grandchildren, Robby (Rita) Williams of Mountain Home, AR, Kelly (James) Montgomery of Mountain Home, AR, Dan (Julie) Johnson, Matt (Myra) Johnson, Catrina (Dalton) Hawkins, Luke Brantingham, Katelyn Brantingham, Jeron Dunn, Lindsay (Joe) Barton, Jordan Dunn, Josh Dunn, Samantha Dunn, Caleb Dunn, Lee (Chris) Walsh, David (Tammy) Wilcox, Kristin Dennis, Cody Blair and Sarah Blair, 22 great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Betty Hilbig.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, first wife and mother of his children; Margaret, daughter-in-law, Molly, three brothers, Paul, Robert, Sherman and sister Esther Ewing.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Dan Johnson, Matt Johnson, Luke Brantingham, Josh Dunn, Jordan Dunn, and Caleb Dunn as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Robby Williams, Jeron Dunn, Chuck Wilcox, Dr. Jason Lindsay, and Dr. Lonnie Robinson. Military Honors will be provided by the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 Honor Guard.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
