Melba Fern Wallis was born May 24, 1923 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Clarence W. and Eunice E. Anderson Dent. She married Carl Wallis in Black Rock, Arkansas on October 4, 1941. She moved to Harrison, Arkansas from Rockford, Illinois in 1983. She was a member of Mountain Home Bible Church. Melba Fern Wallis passed away November 12, 2005, at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 18 days. Survivors: Two daughters, Dorothy (Duane) Gelvin and Linda Wallis; one son, Ronald (Lori) Wallis; five grandchildren, Susan Hill, David Gelvin, Rebecca Berk, Emily Oswald and Christopher Wallis; four great-grandchildren, Dustin Gelvin, Cory Gelvin, Tyler Hill and Colby Hill Preceded in Death by: Her parents and husband Visitation: 10:00 a.m. until service time, Wednesday, November 16 Funeral: 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2005, Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Hoffpauir officiating.
