Mel died Monday, July 4, 2011 at Mountain Home, Arkansas, at the age of 85. Melbert was born April 10, 1926 in Waukesha, Wisconsin, the son of Elmer and Emma Zimmerman Schwulst. He married Gisela Mildenberger on December 3, 1951 at Manheim, Germany. Mel worked in management after leaving the Army. Melbert Schwulst was a U.S. Army veteran. Mel lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1996, moving from Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Melbert is survived by his wife Gisela of Mountain Home, Arkansas; 2 sons, Dennis (Charri) Schwulst of Waukesha, WI, Scott (Dolores) Schwulst of Waukesha, WI; one grandson, Joshua Schwulst; one brother, Edward Schwulst; two sisters, Betty Benson and Lois Stoll, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
