Meta Lantz

Mrs. Lantz died Tuesday, July 12, 2004 at Auburn Hills. She was 73. She was born May 7, 1931 at Talmage, Kansas, to Sam and Pearl Heinz Cowen. She married the late Richard Lantz on March 23, 1985 at Midway, Arkansas. She was Activity Director for Good Samaritan Village. Mrs. Lantz lived in Midway for 24 years, moving from Aurora, Illinois. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church. Survivors: She is survived by 3 daughters, Linda Fowler of Montgomery, Illinois, Janis Weiss of Montgomery, and Melanie (Jeff) Miller of Oswego, Illinois, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 step-daughter, Joan (Tom) Faivre of Mt. Morris, Illinois, 2 brothers, Bob (Joan) Cowan of Chula Vista, California, Richard Cowan of Abilene, Kansas, and 2 sisters, Wava Thompson of Lakeview and Marilyn Douglas of Liberty, Missouri. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 son. Funeral: Memorial Service for Meta Louise Lantz of Midway, Arkansas will be at 1:00 P.M., Friday at Kirby Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerry Backus officiating. Burial: Burial will private.
