Michael Joseph Beam

Michael Joseph Beam of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away May 21, 2022, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 52. He was born December 30, 1969, in East Point, Georgia, the son of Hugh and Dorothy Russell Beam. Mike lived in Arkansas since moving from Georgia in 1987. He married Melanie on May 21, 1994, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He worked for Baxter Regional Medical Center for 20 years before being named the Vice President of Business Development and Market Strategy at NEXT Powered by NAEC. He was a member of the Yellville Masonic Lodge #117 and the Sahara Shriners. Mike was known around town for his work with Baxter Regional Medical Center, North Arkansas Electric Cooperative, and the numerous boards he served on, including Sparks Gamma House, the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce, and so many more. In his free time he enjoyed woodworking, playing music, fishing, floating on the river, and spending time with his family and friends.

Mike is survived by his wife, Melanie Beam of Mountain Home, AR; mother, Dorothy Beam of Woodstock, GA; son, Colin Beam of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Bailey Beam of Mountain Home, AR; two sisters, Barbara Crow of Oxford, AL and Mary Ann Beam of Woodstock, GA; parents-in-law, Allen and Diane Novotny of Mountain Home, AR; and sister-in-law, Crystal Novotny of Mountain Home, AR. He was preceded in death by his father, Hugh F. Beam, Jr.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. A Funeral Service for Mike will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Real Life Church, with Mr. Clay Patterson officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Sparks Gamma House or Hospice of the Ozarks.
