Michael Browne

Michael Anthony Browne was born March 27, 1956 at Harwood Heights, Illinois, the 5th child of George L. Sr. & Jennie Olga Pallone Browne. He was a 1973 graduate of St. Roseli?s High School and worked as an usher at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Mike and his parents moved to Springfield, Missouri in 1986 and he took care of them until their passing in 1995 and 1997. Because of his own illness, he had a legal guardian, (his brother and wife) George L. & Jane Browne who took care of him for 9 years until he moved to Mountain Home on June 1, 2006. Michael was a bachelor so he moved into the Basic Independent Apartments with his sisters and many caregivers watching over him. He had many friends there; Richard, Steve, Connie, Harold, Rick, Frankie, Johnny, Jamie, Barbie, Krystal, George, Jerry, Jeff and Robin. Michael passed away Friday, June 29, 2007 at the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House after putting up a good fight with cancer. He was 51. Survivors: By two brothers; Thomas G. (Sonja) Browne of the Villages, Florida and George L. (Jane) Browne of Springfield, Missouri, two sisters; Mary (John) Norys and Ann (Donald) Kalkstein Sr. both of Mountain Home, and many Aunts, Uncles, Nephew, Nieces and Cousins. Preceded in Death by: his parents. Funeral: A graveside service and burial for Michael Anthony Browne will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday next to his parents at the Resurrection Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mountain Home, Arkansas Burial: Burial will be in the Resurrection Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri. Memorials: Memorials may be made to Basic Independent Apartments, 1635 Leo Davis Dr., Mountain Home, Arkansas 72653 to help out with the fine work they do there.
