Michael D. Garber, age 72, died unexpectedly at his home in Gassville, Arkansas, on August 1, 2012. He was born July 15, 1940 in Los Angeles, California, son of Daniel and Inez Castleberry Garber. Preceded in death by wife, Minh Lai Garber, and parents. Survived by sister Carol Lundquist of Edina, MN, aunt Wilma Willis of Hartwell, Georgia, nieces Kirsten Carrizales (Ed) and Karen Lundquist, grand-nieces Amelia and Milena Carrizales, and cousins Michael Rapp and Ginger Shelton. Michael was a Vietnam veteran and served in the Air Force for 20 years. After retirement he ran Service Tool and Machine, a successful specialty machining business in Wappinger Falls, New York. After retirement in 1990 Mike divided his time between New York and Arkansas. He loved restoring old cars, traveling by car, especially to Alaska, and Otis and Emily, his golden retrievers. A Memorial Graveside Service for Michael will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, with the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246 providing Military Honors.
