A Funeral Service for Michael Sidney Harris of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 3:00 pm, Monday, February 18, 2013, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Sam Bailey officiating. Visitation will be at 2:00 pm until service begins. A much-loved father, son, brother, and uncle, Michael Sidney Harris, 53, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on February 14, 2013. He was born in Falls City, Nebraska, the son of Ron and Sue Harris, and resided in North-Central Arkansas for the past twenty years, having moved from the Hill Country of Texas. He graduated from Hastings High School with athletic honors and attended Done College in Crete, Nebraska. Michael had a truly unique and fun-loving soul that shined upon everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. He also enjoyed restoring houses, cars, and boats. Michael is survived by his loving mother and friend, Sue Harris of the Lake Bull Shoals area; son, Alex Harris whom he was so very proud of; daughter, Lauren Harris whom he cared for so deeply; brother and devout friend, Scott Harris of Rockwall, Texas, and wife Susan; nephews, Taylor and Austin Harris; uncle, Ed Harris of Falls City, Nebraska, along with his wife, Deb and three children, Dan, Jessica, and Katie; nephew Ricky Harris and family and many longtime friends too numerous to name. He was preceded in death by his father, Ron Lee Harris of the Lake Bull Shoals Area; uncle Rick Harris and other special relatives and friends. He was loved and talented and smart and funny and will be so deeply missed. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
