Michael Howard Hildebrand

A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Michael Howard Hildebrand, 68, of Lakeview, AR will be 11AM January 10, 2015, at the East Side Baptist Church in Mountain Home, AR. Entombment will be in Kirby’s Tucker Memorial Cemetery.

Michael died December 8, 2014, at Mountain Home, AR. Michael was born February 23, 1946, at Ames, Iowa to Dr. Howard H. and Maxine Grant Hildebrand. He was married to Carol Lynn Heddleston for almost 50 years. Michael was a Pharmacy graduate from the University of Nebraska where he served as the student president of the APHA. He worked as a pharmacist for the Veterans Administration in Little Rock and Fayetteville where he was Chief of Pharmacy. Mike was a hospital pharmacist at Baxter Regional Medical Center until his retirement. Michael was an active man who loved fly fishing, biking, hiking and backpacking. He had planned to hike the Appalachian Trail when his health betrayed him. Michael was a ham radio operator and member of the AARL. He was member of East Side Baptist Church in Mountain Home, AR where he served as a deacon and a was a member of the Gideons.

Michael is survived by his wife Carol Hildebrand of Lakeview, AR; mother, Maxine Hildebrand of Ames, Iowa; daughter, Christy Lynn Rutledge (Clifton) of Waxhaw, NC; grandchildren, Caitlyn Meyer (Daniel) of Fayetteville, AR; Chandler Rutledge of San Marcos, TX and Carley Rutledge of Waxhaw, NC; sister, Patti Spatcher (David) of West Bend, WI and brother, Steven Hildebrand (Betsy) of St.Louis, MO.

He was preceded in death by his father; son, Wesley and one brother, James.

Memorials may be made to Hospice House of the Ozarks or East Side Baptist Church.
