Michael passed away June 20, 2014, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 70. He was born October 29, 1943, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Walter and Maude Ford Hoover. He married Pat and worked as a construction worker. Michael was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and lived in Yellville since 2009, moving from Houston, Texas. He loved fishing and the outdoors and was an avid reader.
Michael is survived by his son, Noble Sheppard of Ft. Drum, NY; two sisters, Anita Carr of Yellville, AR and LaVonne Johnson of Davenport, IA and two brothers, Tom (Darlene) Nickel of Yellville, AR and Sam Hoover of Davenport, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pat and two brothers.
Memorials may be made to Humane Society of North Central Arkansas.
