Michael Mushong died Saturday, June 13, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 93. He was born Saturday, December 25, 1915 in Chicago, Illinios, the son of Michael Perry and Anna Remsing Mushong. He married Gertrude M. Szabo on September 12, 1935 at Chicago, Illinois and worked as a Bus Driver and Truck Driver for the City of Chicago. Michael lived in Mountain Home since 1973 moving from Hanover Park, Illinois where he worked as custodian and bus driver for the Baxter County Day Service Center. He was a member of the Good Sam's Club and N.R.A. Survivors: Michael Mushong is survived by his 2 sons, Thomas (Judy) Mushong of Bartlett, IL and Michael (Carol) Mushong of Grand Rapids, MI, daughter, Marilyn (Harold) Jorgensen of Mountain Home, AR, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, son-in-law, John Schipitz of Mountain Home, AR and special friends, Joe and Diane Stefan. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 1 daughter, Trude Schipitz and 3 sisters. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M., Thursday, June 18 with a Vigil Service at 7 PM at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Funeral: A Funeral Mass for Michael Thomas Mushong of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 19, 2009 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, with Rev. James Fanrak, officiating. Burial: Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Masses.
