Graveside Services for Michael John Reed of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, will be Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Riverside National Cemetery, in Riverside, CA.
Mr. Reed died Friday, July 16, 2010 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 73. Michael Reed was born February 13, 1937 in Los Angeles, CA, the son of Michael John and Georgia Bishop Reed. He married Mary Jane Wallace on August 24, 1962 at Las Vegas, NV. He worked as a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service. Michael was a U.S. Navy veteran. Michael lived in Cherokee Village, Arkansas for 18 years moving from Baldwin Park, CA. He was a lifetime member of BPOE, Masonic Lodge, and Shriners.
Michael Reed is survived by his wife Mary Jane Reed, of Cherokee Village, AR daughter, Donna (Rick) Fredericksen of Hemet, CA, grandchildren, Dani and Michael Fredericksen, of Hemet, CA, sister-in-law, Nancy Phelps, of Phoenix, AZ, 2 nephews, Jeff (Robyn) Phelps, of Phoenix, AZ, and Lance Phelps, of Las Vegas, NV, grand nephews, Nicholas and Zachery Phelps, and all of his beloved friends near and far.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sisters.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
