Mike Schneider (Michael Joseph) passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home. He was born on June 21, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio, to Bud Schneider and Sue (Silvers) Knicker. He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan (Schoene); two daughters, Josie Schneider and Amber (Alain) Ledgerwood; grandson Levi Ledgerwood, all of Nashville, Tennessee; step-daughter, Rose Finnegan; grandson Thomas of Northbrook, Illinois; mother, Sue Knicker of Dayton, Ohio; siblings, Debra (Greg) Mosher, Chris (Jim) Chimo-Lipscomb, Denis (Sue) Schneider, Katy (Victor) Ratajczak and Amy (Jerry) Swann and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Julie Boyer and his dad, Bud Schneider.
Mike graduated at Northeastern University in Chicago, Illinois, with a degree in biology. He loved studying Native American History, was an avid fisherman, master carpenter and was an artist extraordinaire. He was truly a unique man that inspired people with his creativity, unique sense of humor and artistic talents. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. He could turn any moment into a smile.
A celebration of life with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the Back Forty, 1400 Hwy 62 East, Mountain Home, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
