Michael Xanders

Memorial Services for Michael Kenneth Xanders, 60, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 4:00 PM Monday, May 9, 2011 at Christian Church of Mountain Home, with Reverend Gene McCoy officiating. Michael passed April 30, 2011 at his residence. He was born February 9, 1951 in Elmhurst, Illinois, the son of Kenneth Gene and Marilyn Shoemaker Xanders. He worked as a Ferrier and Horse Trainer. Michael lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas for 35 years moving from Wheeling, Illinois. Kenny was a co-founder of the Folk Art Research Team, along with long time friend Will Pollack. He created many fine pieces of wire art and jewelry. Other close friends included, Janie Hillhouse and family and Truman Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents.
